A New Way of Hearing Your Body
You are not alone, in case, you have been feeling more than normally sluggish.
Waking up in the middle of the night, or feeling aches that do not appear to be reasonable.
It is happening with many midlife women.
Though it may be disturbing, what if these changes are not symptoms of disorder.
Instead, symptoms of awakening?
Your body is not just a vessel.
It’s a compass.
It has wisdom which the mind overlooks.
And when you start noticing the signs, you are aware that your body is steering you into being more in touch with your soul.
Sensitivity as an indication of Oneness.
Have the crowds, noises, or even some of the friends begun to wear you out?
Such sensitivity is not frailty.
It’s awareness.
Your nervous system is growing more highly sensitive.
It is telling you what feeds your energy and what drags it down.
It is switching on to a clearer radio station so you can hear what was always there.
The body assists you to see what is no longer resonant.
That’s so you may select environments and relationships that resonate with you.
Aches and Pains as Releasing Energy.
It is also frustrating to experience pain.
Yet, medical scans do not reveal anything to be wrong.
However, pains, stiffness or tension tend to have emotional undertones.
Shock and stress take root in the body.
In awakening these ancient energies come to the surface to be discharged.
Not to be afraid of them, observe them.
Experiment with some easy techniques such as breathwork, stretching or writing about what comes to mind.
These feelings are of your body saying: I am losing what does not belong here.
Sleep as Sacred Work
Waking at 3 a.m.?
Days of deep-sleep, then restless the next?
These rhythms aren’t random.
They are a part of your change.
Sleep is not rest, it is curing.
Those nights you awaken can be calls to reflection.
Keep a notebook nearby.
Write what comes.
Don’t look on them as interruptions, but rather as speaking with your soul.
Food Not Only Fuel.

Your cravings change as your body changes.
Coffee may leave you anxious.
Foods that are heavy can make you exhausted.
Suddenly foods that are lighter can feel refreshing.
It isn’t dieting, it is resonance.
Your energy talks to your food.
Listen to the effect of meals on you.
You’ll feel like your body is demanding lighter, more sustaining food.
Then it is telling you what will keep you connected and alert.
Embodiment as Your Anchor
Awakening as a phenomenon is one of the deepest changes.
You become aware of your presence in the body.
Having your feet on the ground.
Relaxing your shoulders.
Gasping at shallow breath.
These little changes are not trivial.
They’re anchors.
They assist you to live in a calm space instead of autopilot.
Your body is drawing your spirit further into you.
The Body as Sacred Ally
Fundamentally, awakening does not involve leaving the body.
It’s about trusting it.
Your body is a holy messenger.
Goosebumps when truth lands.
When something wrong, tight.
Warmth when you’re aligned.
Get to know this language and life is less confusing.
You no longer require continual external validation. You start to have faith in your intuition.

Closing Reflection
When you’ve been feeling these changes, sensitivity, aches, troubled nights, new cravings, have hope.
You’re not broken.
You’re awakening.
Your body is following your soul and is assisting you to lose the old and enter a new season of alignment.
Rather than being afraid of these changes, consider them as they are.
Solemn signs.
Your body is on your side.
Always.
