The Quiet Realization
I got up this morning with that same sort of heavy feeling.
As though the world outside was falling away faster than I could follow. Maybe you’ve felt that too?
You read headlines, you see politicians fight, you hear another tale how you are losing your freedom.
And the idea creeps in: what to do in case I am helpless here?
But here is the voice that broke into the clatter, at least to me, no law, no politician, no outward force can deprive you of your sovereignty.
It is God-given unless you renounce it.
The thought of that opened a door in me.
Sovereignty is not only about politics.
It is about how you present yourself when the world wants you to be reactive, divided, and drained.
The Kingdom Is Already Within
Jesus himself said it: The kingdom of God is in you (Luke 17:21).
To me that verse is a lighthouse.
It is a reminder that true freedom does not exist in courts or centers of governments.
It starts very deep in your heart.
This is different to me since I have experienced the fatigue of seeking permission.
Waiting until somebody found what I thought I lost.
But sovereignty is not the waiting game, it is the remembering game.
A Turning Point in My Own Life
I will never forget one incensed argument about laws and freedoms.
I was arguing fiercely, but half-way down the line I recognized…
I was arguing as though my liberty depended upon their concurrence with me.
That was the turning point.
I ceased to delegate my power of authority to rules and systems.
I began to ask: what do I know within?
The change was slight, yet potent.
It is not rebellion as an end in itself.
It is about recovering that space within you that no institution can touch.
Why I Stay Skeptical
The fact is that popular discourse usually distorts reality.
Terror, outrage, propaganda it is all fodder to control.
I have witnessed the way headlines make us smaller.
The way propaganda takes away our air.
But when I leave the clatter, into nature, into prayer, into silence, I recall who I am.
Trees don’t panic.
Rivers don’t vote.
In that rhythm I hear my own: in that steady sovereignty God is shown by the natural world.
Your Practical Anchor

How then do you root yourself in sovereignty when all the things surrounding you are trembling?
Here is what has worked with me–and may work with you also:
- Pause before reacting. When outrage rises, stop. Ask, how does it help me to be so angry? The chain of manipulation can be broken by that very breath.
- Name what you can control. Perhaps that is the way you treat your kids nowadays. How you show up in your work. How you handle yourself when fear comes knocking.
- Protect your inputs. When you allow every headline to determine your mood, you lose sovereignty. Limit the noise. Select the voices that can enter into your mind.
- Anchor in the body. You need to take a walk, a stretch, a moment with your bare feet on the ground, then you remember-you are still here. You are still whole.
- Pray or meditate daily. Even an hour of solitude brings into focus the reality: your liberty is a Divine gift, not a conferred right.
- Speak from your center. Speak calmly when you talk. You are not seeking to gain approval. You are exercising sovereignty by taking possession of your voice.
And when I say prayer, by the way, I do not mean belief in a religion or a doctrine.
I am referring to it in its most universal, profoundest, spiritual and fullest sense…
A spiritual dialogue with the Life of all, the universal consciousness of which we are all parts.
The Line Worth Keeping
True monarchy does not lie in having won the battle.
It is in having known that the battle was not your own to lose.
That is the sentence I hold on to, particularly when I feel like the world is upside down.
In the Mess of Everyday Life
This is how this appears in my real, imperfect life, I do not think that all the headlines require my panic.
I prefer praying when the people shout to respond.
I will allow my voice to be steady not because I believe that the world will change immediately but because it is what helps me remain in my own truth.
This is not sovereignty as an idea but as a practice.

Closing Reflection
In my humble opinion, based on many years of struggle with fear and gradually building the trust of intuition, your freedom is not a policy that needs to be reinstated.
It is a fire already in you.
Therefore, do not wait until somebody else gives you the green light. Tend that flame.
Stand in it.
Walk with it.
Since the kingdom is in you, no one can take that away.
